Felt Shoebox

I made this felt shoebox in just a couple minutes this evening (I already had the felt people from a previous endeavor), and I think the kids are really going to enjoy this for long car rides and the like. It's very simple, and I love how everything is contained in the shoebox.

All you need is a shoe box with a lid, and some felt. Cut the felt to match the size of the shoebox top. Glue it on with some regular Elmer's glue. Then use different colors of felt to cut out shapes, little people, animals or whatever you like. Store the felt pieces inside the shoebox, and you have a little travel felt board for use on the go!
What do you do to keep the kids busy in the car?
