Cupcake Liner Flower

We made this sweet (and easy) cupcake liner flower the other day. We've made these once before, ages ago, and I can't recall if I posted about them or not. To make these, cut out the shape of a stem and leaves from green construction paper. Glue on the stem and leaves, and a cupcake liner for the petals. Glue a cotton ball in the center, and spritz with perfume or body spray. My kids loved that their flower "really smelled". We talked about how the petals are usually the most fragant part of a flower, and gathered flowers from our yard to sniff and determine which was the most fragrant.

I hope Miss O had a great day too!

I've seen flowers like these before...probably even from my childhood, but I wouldn't have thought to make them scented!
