I haven't updated much about how Pre K is going for Little Bean, so I thought I'd share a bit about how I keep him busy each morning (this is in addition to regular lessons). I purchased an inexpensive folder to hold all of his work for the day. Each evening, I sort through the folder and put in new work for him to complete the following day. I include writing practice, a bit of reading practice, coloring, counting and other activities, but I try to keep things rotated through so that he doesn't get bored. All his writing is laminated so that I can just use a wet wipe and erase his work and reuse it the next time. Along with his folder, I purchased an according folder to store all my worksheets in so that it's nice an neat and all in one place when I am ready to pull out new work for him. Little Bean takes great pride in his notebook, and enjoys being able to see everything that he needs to complete at once, and choose the order in which he'd like to complete everything. I'm sure there isn't anything too special about this system, but so far it's working for us!
We usually do this kind of work in the mornings because Little Bean gets burned out pretty quickly, and then he doesn't want to come back to it for the rest of the day. I try not to put too much in the folder or he usually won't finish. At this point, I don't want to "force" him to finish, as I still feel he is young and learning should be fun and enjoyable. So, when he is ready to stop (which is usually after about 20 minutes or so), then we stop. But he is always so proud when he has completed his work and done well.
Here are some pictures to give you an example of how I organize the folder. We are working on Brown Bear, Brown bear this week, so that's why so much of the stuff is themed in that way (BTW, I got all my Brown Bear printables from
this site. Go there, now! You will love it as much as I do, I am sure!).

What system to do you use for your Pre K-er??

Nice idea. I currently have one of those plastic 5 drawer containers and my little ones each have their own drawer with their "projects" for the day. I might add folders to this setup.
I saw your bunny wreath...so very cute~
