I was inspired to do this little birdie craft by the pattern one of Miss O's shirts. :) This is a simple, cute, spring craft, that is quick to make, and perfect for filling that 15 minutes after dinner and before bedtime stories. Miss O hasn't been feeling all that well, and as a result she dawdled over her dinner, so Little Bean was the only one who made this.
To make the bird, (I was planning on both of them doing the craft, so I needed two birds) I drew a circle on a piece of decorative paper, using a salad plate as my guide. Then, on the circle, I drew an "S" shape and cut it out along the circle and then around the S to form the bird's body. Then, out of orange construction paper, I cut out a diamond shape and folded it in half to make the beak. Little Bean glued the bird on, then pasted on the beak, and two button eyes. He painted on orange stick legs, and then fringed some green construction paper for grass. That's it! I really like how this one turned out, so I'll be hanging it up in our playroom for a while for us all to enjoy!
