A Homeschooling Mom's Best Friend

I was sent a request for a product review a few weeks ago from the owner of this blog, and I'm so excited to share one of my favorite and most used products with my readers. In fact, this product is a homeschooling mom's best friend--my home laminator.

Surprising? Maybe. True? Most definitely. My home laminator is the best investment I have ever made in terms of Little Bean and Miss O's school supplies. I use it often, and it saves me a ton of money. My model heats up in just 6 minutes, and can handle up to a 5 mil paper thickness. It's quiet, efficient, and relatively small. The Fellowes Saturn 12.5 inch office laminator is not the cheapest one on the market, (nor the most expensive), but it has never let me down. I use these 3 mil sheets with it, and they work perfectly (these are the cheapest sheets on the market!).

So, what do I use my home laminator for?? The truth is, I use it for just about all of Little Bean's seat work, for homemade games, for Little Bean's self authored books, you name it, I'll laminate it. Before my home laminator entered my life, I was stingy with the worksheets because I didn't want to waste them on just one learning experience. Now, I just laminate the worksheets, and Little Bean can do them over and over again until he has them mastered. I just use a dry erase marker instead of a pencil, and a wet wipe to clean the sheets off. I also laminate my file folder games, activity packs and lapbooks. Really, considering the price of lamination at a school supply store or at Fed Ex Kinkos, this laminator is a wonderful investment. Not to mention I can laminate whenever I please!

Just a sample of things I laminate--these were just done tonight and still need to be cut out!

I'm curious what products you like, so I am passing on this product review request to the following blogs (if I didn't pick you, please feel free to do a product review if you want, and leave a comment on this post with a link to your review--I'd love to hear what products other moms like me love!). If I pass this on to you, simply create a post on your blog, linking back to me, and then pass it along to other bloggers you know who you would like to see a review from.

I am scheduling this post out, so you may come and read this before I have a chance to come to your blog and leave a comment letting you know I'd like to hear from you. If so, that's okay, you don't need to wait for my comment in order to do your review!

Hmm...I love my laminator too...though I just got it. I will have to think on this! I know I can say a few things that I've been disappointed in, but it's always more fun to say how great and wonderful it is!

Ooooo - jealous of your laminator and counting the days until I can get one of my own! :)

I do have some reviews of my favorite products up already {ones that I've done fairly recently}.

Let me know if you want me to post the links here or email them to you! :) Some are for things that I love and found this year and others are for games, curriculum, etc... to use in our studies.

I'll see what I can come up with. :) I have a few things in mind but have covered quite a few over the last few months.

My email was working when I clicked on the link. You should be able to reply directly to my comments when they show up in your inbox, since my email is linked to my account. :)
